This December, dig in to one of Food Network’s top 10 “All-American Food Festivals,” and chow down on tempting tamales at the annual Indio International Tamale Festival.
A Southern California holiday tradition since 1992, the Indio International Tamale Festival features every kind of tamale you can imagine, along with carnival rides and games, parades, a rock climbing wall, inflatable bounce houses and a kids’ petting zoo.
Come for the best tamales around, and stay for the fun, excitement and tamale judging and eating contests. There will also be Mexican Folklorico Dancing and live music, so bring the entire family out to celebrate!
The Indio International Tamale Festival is held the first weekend of December. This year's dates are December 6-7, 2014 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in downtown Indio. Admission is free to all in attendance, and there will be plenty of parking available at the festival.
