Humana Challenge

The William J. Clinton Foundation and Humana, the new title sponsor, will join forces for the first time at the 2012 Humana Challenge, kicking off an eight-year partnership with the PGA tour. Formerly known as the Bob Hope Classic, the Humana Challenge will now follow a traditional four-day tournament schedule while still retaining many of its popular celebrity Pro-Am features.

Since its introduction in 1960 as the Palm Springs Golf Classic, the tournament has generated more than $50 million for charity and literally funded the construction of the Eisenhower Medical Center, thanks in large part to Bob Hope becoming involved as tournament host in 1965.

Attending the Event

The Humana Challenge will be held at three courses this year: the La Quinta Country Club, Nicklaus Private at PGA WEST and the host course, the Palmer Private at PGA WEST.

Tickets start at just $25 for a Daily Gallery Pass, which includes grounds access to all three courses for one day. The event also allows up to two children under the age of 12 into the tournament for free when accompanied by an adult with a valid ticket.
