Community Gallery Exhibition Celebrates Desert Landscape

Description: The Palm Desert Community Gallery welcomes artwork from five Coachella Valley artists in Desertscapes, the exhibition, on display through March 28. Included in the exhibition are artists Patrick Blythe, Marion Herrmann, Maria Hunt, Myrn-Ellen Krengel, and Gwen Novak. As suggested by its name, the exhibition’s theme is the desert landscape. The mountains and flora of the desert in which they live and to which they travel have inspired all the artists. Although the exhibition’s artists share a theme, they employ a variety of diverse materials. Patrick Blythe works with fused and cast glass. Marion Herrmann, Maria Hunt, and Myrn-Ellen Krengel create in oil on canvas and Gwen Novak works in pastel drawings. For more information, call 760-568-1441 or visit the web.
