Customer Service Can “Make Someone A Star”

Celebrating its tenth anniversary in 2009, the “Make Someone A Star” award program recognizes high levels of customer service by allowing residents to turn the spotlight on their favorite cashier, salesperson, gardener, clerk, or other retail/service professional.
“We’re looking for that unique situation where a retail or service provider went the extra mile to provide excellent customer service,” states Ruth Ann Moore, Palm Desert economic development manager. “In the past, winners have changed tires, delivered eyeglasses to the airport and even worked throughout the night on flooded homes.”
If you know someone who works in Palm Desert that has gone above and beyond or strives to excel each day to provide excellent customer service, you can nominate them by going on the City’s website at www.cityofpalmdesert.org, or complete the enclosed prepaid postcard and mail it by March 31.
