International Save the Vaquita Day at The Living Desert

Come out to The Living Desert for the International Save the Vaquita Day. What’s a vaquita you ask? It’s the world’s most endangered marine animal, a tiny little porpoise that lives in the Gulf of California, Mexico. Why join the quest to save them? There are only 30 LEFT IN THE WORLD!!! Without our immediate help, they will go extinct on our watch…disappear from the earth forever! Sometimes called the Panda of the Sea, the vaquita are being illegally trapped in gillnets to the point of extinction. You can help by joining The Living Desert bring attention and awareness to their plight! In addition, The Living Desert has partnered with several local restaurants for a Margaritas for Vaquitas fundraiser. Participating restaurants will donate a percentage of proceeds to Vaquita conservation efforts. Margaritas for Vaquitas is for guests 21 and over with valid ID. Please help to save a species and join us in conservation #4aPorpoise. Participating restaurants include,  Rincon Norteño (July 8th Rincon Norteño will donate 100% of Margarita proceeds to vaquita conservation), Fresh Agave Mexican Bar & Grill (July 8th and every Monday – Thursday until August 10 excluding happy hour, Fresh Agave will donate a percentage of margarita proceeds to Vaquita conservation efforts), El Mexicali Café (July 8th, a percentage of proceeds from every Margarita will directly support vaquita conservation) and The Nest (July 8th a percentage of the proceeds from every meal will directly support vaquita conservation; Guests must mention this promotion when making reservations.)
